December 18th CCG Blue Christmas Service 4:00pm

On December 18 CCG is hosting a Blue Christmas service; it is a space available to people who struggle with the Christmas season, who are bringing a lot into the season this year, and who seek a sacred space to acknowledge these things. We offer this space annually near the longest night of the year, and of course this year is unique because of the collective challenges brought on by the pandemic. Whoever you are, whatever you bring this year, you are welcome and encouraged to attend.

I invite you to prayerfully prepare for the Blue Christmas service and encourage you (though participation is voluntary) to gather the following items:- photo of someone you want to bring into the worship space or an object that connects you to that person.- A length of cloth ribbon or strip of fabric and a sharpie (for writing prayers)- Candle and matches- Pencil & paper. Gathering these items ahead of time will help us move through the worship experience with fewer distractions.
