COVID Protocols for In-Person Worship Services

While provincial and denominational authorities have eased COVID restrictions, including all social distancing, at least for now, Council is following the general guideline stated by our two denominations – that each congregation consider their own situation and implement those restrictions best suited for their worshipping community. CCG Council has adopted these restrictions for in-person worship.

Everyone will wear masks at all times; congregational singers will hum to the music with masks on.
Everyone will show proof of vaccination on arrival. Please have your vaccination passport ready to show our greeter.
We will follow a partial socially-distanced seating arrangement. Half of the Sanctuary seating will be socially distanced at 1.2 metres; the other half not. This maintains some comfort level for those wanting more space. It also means we would not have to turn anyone away at the door.
As much as outdoor temperatures permit, windows and doors will be open to enhance air circulation. Please dress accordingly.
Communion will be modified, meaning no liquids and wafers only.
Only one bathroom (with window) will be open.
Council urges every congregant to carefully consider the protocols above in light of their own personal situation and comfort level, and to make the decision whether to join worship online or in-person that is right for you. Having the two options helps to bring our community together safely as we mark this sacred time in the Christian calendar.
