National Lessons & Carols Service.

Greetings everyone,

I hope this email finds you doing well during this busy yet hopeful time of year. I just wanted to share that details are now available about the national Lessons & Carols service being produced by General Synod for the season of Advent. https://www.anglican.ca/lessonsandcarols/

Key notes:

  *   Thursday, December 10: Downloadable files will be made available at the link above, for dioceses and parishes to (optionally) include in online and/or in-person services (or other events) in the coming weeks.

  *   Friday, December 18, 8pm Eastern Time: A broadcast of the full service (approx. 1hr) will take place on the anglican.ca link noted above, as well as Facebook and YouTube.

  *   Sharing details of this service, online and/or elsewhere, is both welcomed and encouraged!

  *   Please keep an eye out for posts on social media (links below in my signature) if you’d like to share from your social media accounts as well.

On a related note, I plan to publish a roundup in the next week or so (via the Ministry Matters blog), of 2020 Lessons & Carol service recordings or links from dioceses and parishes across the country. If you have a link of a recording to a L&C service from this year (or for one yet to take place), please feel free to send details my way!

If possible, please limit link submissions to 2 per diocese or less (or if you prefer, provide a link to your own roundup page of links to L&C services in your diocese). Feel free to provide brief information about the service(s), i.e. where recorded, anything you feel would be of interest or unique about the service for Anglicans in Canada and beyond to know. (I may need to edit descriptions for length, so “tweet-length” descriptions would be perfect!)
